    A pressure group can be broadly defined as a group of people who come together to put pressure on the Government or an MP to reform a particular area of law, or even a particular law.

    Pressure groups which focus on a specific issue. They tend to have more difficulty in exerting influence on parliament because they have no direct access to members of the government or parliament
