*asteroids colliding with earth

  around 67 million yrs ago, an asteroid collided with earth on the coast of mexico where there was a huge devastation close to where the asteroid fell.

  it would have been like a massive bomb exploding with shock waves and very high temps spreading out from the crater.

  the collision affected the whole planet as it threw huge quantities of rock and dust into the air which also would have created a massive tsunami which could spread across all of the earth's oceans

  the dust in the air meant less light and heat reached earth so plants couldn't photosynthesise, animals had less food and earth become much colder.

  scientists think these climate changes form the asteroid impact is the reason dinosaurs became extinct as well has 75% (three quarters) of the species living on earth at the time.
