    Inflammation of the bladder, although, in practice, it refers to the inflammation of the urethra and bladder

    The infection develops suddenly and rises sharply
  • Referral
    Symptoms that have lasted longer than 5-7 days, cystitis in children, older female patients (70 years), presence of fever, vaginal discharge, pain in the loin area
  • Referral is needed for children, men, elderly/women over 70, pregnancy, symptoms suggestive of diabetes/patients with diabetes, duration 7 days, recurrent cystitis, systemic symptoms suggestive of upper UTI, haematuria, vaginal discharge, immunocompromised, patients with associated fever and flank pain
