    Opposes Judaism's belief that we were all put on here for a reason, but they can work together as G-d may have set off evolution

    1st example of Tikkun Olam, we have a duty to look after the world as it was loaned to us. Stewardship - we are meant to look after the world

    Don't be arrogant as a flea, which is a tiny creature, was made before us

    The body and soul work with each other, they need each other to function and the body is the physical part holding the spiritual soul
  • The soul could be considered more important, as it was created first. Also, the soul gives the body life. The soul is divine, whereas the body is physical
  • Without the soul, there is no life. Therefore the soul is more important as it is the spiritual connection with G-d

    • Based on Darwin's theory of evolution, human nature is all about survival of the fittest so in order to survive we need to be selfish. Therefore, it is simply human nature

    • It causes people to take more than their fair share of the worlds resources
    • Greed for power, land and wealth can lead to war
  • Reasons why greed may be acceptable
    • If people were not greedy, then they would have no incentive to work and the economy would collapse as no one would be working

    Every event has a cause and so means that free will may not exist as human being's choices and actions have a cause

  • If we have freewill then we should be punished for doing evil. If we don't have freewill and everything is predetermined then we should not be punished for doing evil
