  • Pretenders:
    SK1 = Lambert Simnel claimed to be the earl of warwick a leading yorkist claimant - was supported by Margaret of Burgundy who sent 2000 mercenaries and Ireland as he was crowned in a Dublin Cathedral
    SK2 = Perkin Warbeck repeatedly gained support from foreign powers e.g. Charles VIII at French court, Margaret of Burgundy, Maximillian and later James V who even let him marry his cousin - prolonged his threat and jeopardised foreign relations
    CSK = Henry was able to quickly disprove Simnel’s claim as the real of Earl of Warwick was alive so he paraded him in the streets
  • Rebellion:
    SK1 = 1497 Cornish rebellion had 15,000 men - so serious to the point the queen and the royal children were moved to the tower of london for their safety
    SK2 = Took 8000 troops to beat the Yorkshire rebels in 1489
    CSK = Rebels hesitated torn between confrontation and negotiation so their cause was lost - Gof and Flammank were hung drawn and quartered and there body parts displayed in disloyal towns and their heads put on spikes on london bridge
  • Yorkist Threat
    SK1 = De la Pole had a genuine claim to the throne and was harboured by Burgundy - Henry had to suspend trade
    SK 2 = Henry paid Maximillian £10k to get De la Pole, but he took the money and did nothing
    CSK = Philip of Burgundy eventually surrendered him in 1506
    CONSENSUS = Extracted £138,000 from Henry first - squandered a lot of money
