MATHS CHAP 1

Cards (12)

  • If a and b are positive numbers such that a < b, then -a > -b
  • On a number line, -9/5 is to the left of zero, so 0 > -9/5
  • On a number line, zero is to the left of 8/7, so 8/7 > 0
  • A negative number is always less than a positive number, so -5/4 < 1/4
  • When the denominators are the same, the number with the smaller numerator is smaller
  • When the denominators are not the same, the numbers need to be converted to a common denominator to compare
  • On a number line, the number to the left is smaller than the other
  • 2 < 3 but -2 > -3
  • 5/4 < 7/4 but -5/4 < -7/4
  • The sum of all angles inside a regular polygon is always equal to 360 degrees.
  • Each angle measures x degrees, where x = (360/n)
  • The number of sides on the polygon is n
