    1. Sacrifice: to atone for our sins
    2. Suffering: to understand our suffering so God can forgive us
    3. Love: God loved the world so much that he was willing to sacrifice his only son to experience our suffering
    4. Resurrection: reinforced that Jesus is omnipotent
  • What is the significance of resurrection and ascension?
    Resurrection: shows the power of good (Jesus) and bad (persecutors). By accepting Jesus, Christians feel that they may be resurrected and do not fear death and are reassured that their sins may be forgiven.
    Ascension: Jesus is with God and provides comfort and guidance.
