• How carbon emissions are distributed:

  • ACs have produced carbon emissions and contribute greater. (26-28%)
  • EDCs have an overall smaller contribution (3-11%)
  • LiDCs emit small amounts. These countries are the most vulnerable to the impact of climate change.
• Effects of climate change on LiDCs:

  • Increased hunger : crop yields fall (reversing the recent trend of reducing hunger)
  • More conflict : between countries as they fight over scarce water supplies.
  • Migration : from areas that become inhabitable , creating climate refugees.
  • Worse poverty : as the gains made from development are lost.
