  • Prose
A form of literature that is written in ordinary language, without metrical structure
  • February is one of the most difficult times of the year to put off doing some of the things you've been meaning to do
  • There's no vacation coming up, there are no long weekends scheduled in the immediate future; it's just this long, grim February
  • February is the longest by a week
  • Ways to put off a job
    1. Go to the store to get something
    2. Tidy up the work area before starting a job
    3. Make those phone calls
  • Going to the store
    • If I start a job and find I need some simple tool or a piece of hardware, I stop right there. I put on some better clothes, get in the car and drive to the store. If that store doesn't have what I'm looking for, I go to another. Often I'm attracted to some item that has nothing whatsoever to do with the job I was about to start and I buy that instead.
  • Tidying up the work area
    • Things are such a mess in my workshop, on my desk, in the kitchen and in the trunk of the car that I decide I've got to go through some of the junk before starting to work.
  • Making phone calls
    • Call friends you've been meaning to call, or the distant relative you've been out of touch with. Even if someone is in California, Texas or Chicago and you're in Florida, call.
