• Bowlby's 44 thieves study: experimented on 44 thieves within a prison = found that 14/44 were affection less psychopaths and 12/14 had prolonged separation from a young age

• weakness: 44 thieves study could be flawed, bowlby interviewed the thieves and mothers of thieves individually, could be biased
