• third wave of feminism is at times known as post-modern feminism and argued that women’s experiences were extremely varied and that other factors than gender affected women in society. Of our key thinkers, bell hooks (who discussed intersectionality) falls here.
• 1990s, was concerned with the idea that feminism had solely focused on white middle-class women, failing to recognise the concerns of women of other cultures.
