  • Radial nerve
  • Intercostal nerves
    • Group of n that arise from ant primary rami thoracic 1-11 spinal nerve
    • t12 forms subcostal nerve
    • Each intercostal nerve runs along inferior border of rib corresponding to its segment. They travel in the intercostal spaces, positioned between the internal and innermost intercostal muscles.
    • They are accompanied by intercostal artery and vein, forming the neurovascular bundle.
  • Intercostal nerves branche
    • muscular branch: supply intercostal m: transversus thoracis and serratus
    • sensory branch: Supply intercostal muscles and parietal pleura.
    • lateral cutaneous branch: Arise near mid-axillary line, supplying the skin of the lateral thoracic and abdominal walls. Divides into ant and post divisions.
    • Anterior Cutaneous Branches: Terminate near sternum, supplying skin of anterior thoracic and abdominal walls.
    • communicating branch: connects with thoracic sympathtetic ganglia
