    NATIONAL CODE OF MARKETING OF BREASTMILK SUBSTITUTES, BREASTMILK SUPPLEMENTS AND RELATED PRODUCTS - The aim of the Code is to contribute to the provision of safe and adequate nutrition for infants by the protection and promotion of breastfeeding and by ensuring the proper use of breastmilk substitutes and breastmilk supplements when these are necessary, on the basis of adequate information and through appropriate marketing and distribution

  • The Department of Health reported that certification and/or accreditation as Mother-Baby Friendly is now a requirement for hospital licensing. It would make the Philippines the first country in the Western Pacific Region to impose such a requirement.
