    • The ordinance aims to maintain cleanliness, reduce pollution, and maximize resource recovery through a systematic approach to trash management.
  • Dumaguete City Ordinance No. 18
    • In accordance with the Clean Water Act, an ordinance requiring three chambers in septic tanks was passed in Dumaguete City, establishing a septage waste management system to safeguard the city's groundwater.

    • The Comprehensive Coastal Resources Management program, as it is known, addresses the issue of inhabitants disposing of solid garbage near beaches and waterways.
  • Dumaguete City Ordinance No. 231
    • Known as the “anti-plastic bags” ordinance, it prohibits vendors and establishments to sell plastic bags to be utilized as secondary packaging materials for wet and dry produce and goods. It also includes the prohibition of  styrofoam for packaging.
