  • Voice - tells whether the subject of the sentence is the doer or receiver of the action.
  • There are two kinds of voices, which are?
    1. Active voice
    2. Passive voice
  • Active Voice - describes a sentence in which the subject performs the action of the verb.
  • This kind of voice follows the subject + verb + object construct.
    • Active voice
  • In writing a sentence using an active voice, the subject is the one performing the action denoted by the verb.
  • Passive Voice - the subject is acted upon by the verb.
  • In writing a sentence using a passive voice, the subject of the sentence is no longer performing the action. Rather, it's being acted upon by the verb.
  • This kind of voice deals with the subject of the sentence in which it is no longer the "doer" of the action, instead it is the recipient of the action.

  • The article was wrote by Jhustine in one day. This kind of voice illustrates that it is an example of passive voice.
  • Rhailey made an account on Instagram. This sentence is an active voice.
  • An account on Instagram was made by Rhailey. This sentence is an example of passive voice.
  • The Choco Mucho Flying Titans are going to watch a movie tomorrow. This is an example of an active voice.
  • A movie is going to be watched by the Choco Mucho Flying Titans tomorrow. This is an example of a passive voice.
