  • Fabric is an essential part of life.
  • Clothing according to the latest trend with a perfect color combination and the appropriate fabric is very significant. It is the appropriate fabric that provides a unique definition of the outfit.
  • Fabric is the most important part of the outfit. A wrong choice of fabrics means the wrong outfit. The creation of an outfit begins with the designing of the best fabric for the outfit.
  • This good quality of the fabric is important because it makes wearing an outfit a pleasant experience most especially when we are talking about sleeping garments that should provide us comfort while sleeping.

  • Fibers

  • Types of Fabrics
    • Natural Fibers
    • Synthetic or Manmade Fibers
  • Natural Fibers - Plant Fibers
    • Cotton - The world's most popular fabric, cool to wear, easy to wash and sew, versatile, durable, comfortable, inexpensive but shrinks and wrinkles easily
    • Linen - Very strong, cool to wear, usually more expensive than cotton, easily wrinkled unless a special finish is applied, known as the King of all-fiber, the oldest fiber used by the Egyptians thousands of years ago
  • Natural Fibers - Animal Fibers
    • Silk - Collected from the cocoon of silkworms, strong and luxurious fabric with natural luster, moderately resilient and resists wrinkling
    • Wool - Made from the sleets of sheep, outerwear medium-weight clothing, springs back into shape, requires little pressing, with great versatility in fabric
  • Synthetic or Manmade Fibers
    • Rayon - Light and medium-weight clothing, soft, cheap, and comfortable fabric, absorbent, lacks resilience, wrinkles easily, not easy to sew as plain cotton
    • Polyester - Wash and wear clothing, often in combination with other fibers, especially cotton, strong and durable synthetic fabric, dries quickly, with sharp pleat and crease retention

  • When analysing markets, a range of assumptions are made about the rationality of economic agents involved in the transactions
  • The Wealth of Nations was written
    1776
  • Rational
(in classical economic theory) economic agents are able to consider the outcome of their choices and recognise the net benefits of each one
  • Consumers act rationally by
    Maximising their utility
  • Producers act rationally by
Selling goods/services in a way that maximises their profits
  • Workers act rationally by

Balancing welfare at work with consideration of both pay and benefits
  • Governments act rationally by
Placing the interests of the people they serve first in order to maximise their welfare
  • Rationality in classical economic theory is a flawed assumption as people usually don't act rationally
  • Marginal utility
The additional utility (satisfaction) gained from the consumption of an additional product
  • If you add up marginal utility for each unit you get total utility
