  1. Air enters through nose

  2. Filtered and moistened in nasal cavity

  3. Passes through pharynx

  4. Enters larynx (voice box)

  5. Travels through trachea

  6. Divides into bronchi

  7. Bronchi divide into bronchioles

  8. Oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange in alveoli

  9. Oxygen enters bloodstream
