• Aristotelian Model — first developed among the greeks
• SPEAKER plays a key role in communication 
• ACTIVE MEMBER the one who is talking or delivering the conversation 
• PASSIVE MEMBER all they do is listen or to absorb understand the information that has been passed on to them.
• SHANNON–WEAVER MODEL — Known as the mother of all communication models.
• NOISE was the one that Shannon-weaver identified among all proponents of communication models.
• LASSWELL MODEL —One of the earliest models of communication 
• There are 3 different functions in communication which is the Surveillance, Correlation, Cultural Transmission.
• SCHRAMM’S MODEL — People interact in a constant cyclical fashion
• BERLO’S MODEL – Focuses on encoding and decoding
• SMCR — Source Message Channel Receiver 
• WHITE’S MODEL — Implies a step-by-step sequence of events that takes place in communication.
• SYMBOLIC INTERACTION MODEL — Reflects the nature of commas a dynamic, systematic process which communicators construct personal meanings through their symbolic interactions.
