  • Ideology
    A system of ideas and ideals, especially one which forms the basis of economic or political theory and policy

    Application of the Darwinian theory of evolution to society, establishing concepts of superior and inferior races, ultimately leading to development of the racial hierarchy
  • Eugenics
    Science known as racial studies, belief in racial purity (wasn't mixed with less pure races), allowed Nazis to use this science to try and control the genetics of the German population (Breeding for strong, pure-blooded Aryan Germans) → Policies were taught in schools to children → led to practices such as sterilisation and the murder of 'undesirables' in German society
  • Anti-Semitism
    Theory that merges social-Darwinism and eugenics to manufacture the idea that the Jews were a race dangerous to the rest of society (Idea of Jews as the anti-race)
