Permanent Tissue

• Parenchyma - unspecialized type of plant tissue that is found in most parts of the plant, including leaves, stems, roots, and fruits. (malambot)

  
• Collenchyma - plant tissue that provides support and structure to the plant that is still actively growing and expanding. Allows them to stretch and elongate as the plant grows and is alive at maturity. (hard, alive)

  
• Sclerenchyma - a type of plant tissue that provides mechanical stiffness and strength. Tough and durable, and they are typically dead at maturity. (hard, dead)

  
• Phloem - responsible for transporting organic nutrients (sugars and amino acids)
