Findhorn Ecovillage, Scotland

• It is an experimental community project that is based at The Park and the main aim of the project was to demonstrate a sustainable development environmentally, socially and economically.
• It began in the 1980s but it now has a diversity of organisations and activities.
• The Findhorn was the beginning of serious attempts by the intentional community (a voluntary residential community which is designed to have a high amount of social cohesion and teamwork) and it existed to show how a human settlement could be considered sustainable in environmental, social, and economical terms.
