  • Elements of Negligence: Duty, Breach in the standards, foreseeability of harm, and injury
  • Malpractice is any wrongful act that is beyond the scope of nursing practice.

  • benevolent deception can be done to not cause further distress however it should be temporary.

  • justice - equitable distribution of resources
  • equality - the state of being equal in rights, status, or opportunity, or the quality of being equal
  • Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities.
  • Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.
  • The Golden Rule is the idea that we should treat others as we would like to be treated.
