    • When using absolute uncertainty, a 'plus-minus' sign is added to the measurement value, where the uncertainty value is affixed after.
    • The range of values between the value when the uncertainty is added to the measurement value and when it is subtracted is the margin of error.
    • When using absolute uncertainty, the uncertainty value must only have one significant figure, and must be in the same place value as the last significant digit of the measurement value.
    • When using relative uncertainty, indicate the percent error as the uncertainty value instead of a number.
