• Parents often buy girls toys which encourage their language skills. Boys relate to their peers and friends by being active however girls do it by talking to each other. This gives girls an advantage at school because more subjects require good levels of comprehension and writing skills. With more opportunities in schools, girls have better skills to achieve.
