It can take lots of different forms which can either be intentionally or unintentionally racist. Schools can be institutionally racist by, not recruiting some ethnic groups for senior management. Setting and streaming is also a form of racism as certain ethnic groups are more likely to be put in lower sets. This can cause pupils to develop labels and subcultures that can make them feel rejected by their school. African-Caribbean males may be more likely to receive negative attention and criticism from teachers.
