  Nose bleeding
• Most common cause of epistaxis:

  Trauma
• Sitting up. leaning forward with head tipped


  Best position of a client with epistaxis to prevent aspiration of blood
• Cold compress or ice pack


  To stop nose bleeding by vasoconstriction
• Nasal pack with neosenephrine


  To prevent bleeding, if cold application and pressure on soft tissues of the nose can't stop bleeding
• Nasal pack should be in place for 3 to 5 days only to prevent Toxic Shock Syndrome.
