Nose bleeding
Most common cause of epistaxis:
Trauma
Sitting up. leaning forward
with head tipped
Best position of a client with epistaxis to prevent
aspiration of blood
Cold compress or ice pack
To stop nose bleeding by
vasoconstriction
Nasal
pack with neosenephrine
To prevent bleeding, if cold application and pressure on soft tissues of the nose can't stop bleeding
Nasal pack should be in place for
3 to 5 days
only to prevent
Toxic Shock Syndrome.
