  • Supposedly a protest against enclosures led by artisans, masons, fullers, carpenters, and millers - demonstration with 60 (mostly young) men who had sought help for the poor and starving
  • Protesters planned to meet in a place associated with enclosure complaints in 1549, ringleaders wanted to throw down local enclosures, they were taken to London and charged with treason and 20 others questioned (tortured)
  • Imprisoned near the intended enclosures, were they mostly died, despite government reaction it was hardly a serious threat - the meeting for 21st of November only attracted 4 people
