• The model for 5-7-year-olds stated that: students should work together on a big print book for the first 15 minutes. The teacher should look at specific words with students for the next 15 minutes. Students should independently read or read in small groups for 20 minutes. Students should discuss the key points of the reading in groups for 10 minutes.
