    • The Locarno Pact was signed in 1925 and included Britain, France, Belgium, Italy and Germany.
    • The locarno pact allowed Germany to agreed to the borders with France, which improved their relations
    • The locarno pact also begun discussing allowing Germany into the League of Nations
    • The league of nations was a group of countries which would try to maintain international peace
    • In 1926, Germany was given a seat in the council of the league of nations, which improved their relationship with allies and allowed the young plan to undergo
    • In 1928 Germany signed the Kellogg Briand Pact with 64 other countries, which agreed their armies would only be used for self defence
    • Leading industrialists such as Alfred Hungenberg believed reparations should not be paid at all
    • In 1927, troops of allies were withdraw from the west bank of Rhine, five years before scheduled
    • Early withdrawing of troops from Rhine was a sign that the treaty of versailles was being relaxed, so people had a better morale
    • The locarno pact, league of nations and the kellogg briand pact increased the popularity of the Weimar Republic and reduced popularity of extremist parties but increased for moderate parties
    • Although Stresemann made large successes, the people believed the league of nations was a symbol for the hated treaty of versailles. People also did not want border agreements with France
