Little Albert- Watson and Raynor (1919)

• Happened in 1919 by Watson and raynor
• Albert was presented with a white rat to which he initially displayed no feat to
• Watson showed the white rat and made a loud bang which made him cry
• he continuously made a loud bang everytime he was showed the white rat and Albert was classically conditioned to have a phobia of white things
• Albert then associated the white rat with fear
• This fear was then generalised to similar things
• Classical conditioning was used to create phobia
