• bandura's bobo doll shows clear support for SLT as children were found to copy the behaviour they were seeing the role model demonstrate. Shows that social learning theory is successful as the children did demonstrate aggressive and gender behaviour through imitation and observation
• SLT can be criticised for failing to acknowledge the influence of biological factors on behaviour

  e.g. aggression has been showed to be influence by testosterone
• behaviourists would criticise the approach for lack of empirical evidence of the mediating cognitive factors which cannot be observed
• SLT can be credited for not having such a reductionist and deterministic view of behaviour.
