  • What’s confidentiality?
    participants results and personal information should be kept safely and not released to anyone outside of the study.
  • What is deception?

    participants should not be deliberately lied to about the aim of the study and procedure. if they are the should receive a full debrief
  • What is competence?
    having the knowledge and skills and attitudes, values and judgement needed to perform the work of a psychologist
  • What is a debrief?
    a full explanation of the aims and potential consequence of a study are given to participants straight after the study
    opportunity to withdraw
  • What is withdrawal?
    participants should be made aware that they can leave anytime and can remove their data from the study anytime
  • How to observe successful protection from psychological/ physical harm?

    the participants should leave in the same positive state when finishing the study as they arrived
  • What is informed consent?

    the participants have sufficient knowledge about the study to be able to make an informed decision to participate
  • What is privacy?

    participants are aware that they do not have to answer anything that makes them feel uncomfortable, thus protecting their privacy.
