• disadvantages of nuclear : radioactive waste, expensive to build power stations
• advantages of hydroelectricity : cheap, reliable, produces little pollution
• disadvantages of hydroelectricity : dams may cause flooding, fish populations affected by turbines
• advantages of bio-fuel : CO2 produced but is balanced it as it absorbs CO
• advantages of solar : renewable, free, low carbon emissions
• disadvantages of wind : intermittent, weather dependent, noise from turbines
• disadvantage of bio-fuel : takes up a lot of land, consumes resources needed for food production
