    He argued that humanity in sinful but the image of God (Imago Dei) remains in some form, creating a point of contact between God and humans. This allow for some knowledge of God through nature and conscience, even if it is incomplete and insufficient for salvation.

    he citied Romans 1:19-20 which suggest that creation reveals something about God, supports his view. Brunner believed general revelation could act as a bridge to special revelation.

    he rejected the idea of "point of contact" between God and humanity. He argued that human reason and nature are entirely incapable of leading to any knowledge of God because of the pervasive effects of sin.
