Duct System

• Epididymis - a highly convoluted tube 6 m long that hugs the posterior side of the testis
• Epididymis - the first part of the male duct system and provides a temporary storage site for the immature sperm
• Ductus Deferens - runs upward from the epididymis via the spermatic cord through the inguinal canal into the pelvic cavity and arches over the superior aspect of the urinary bladder

  Vas Deferens
• Ejaculatory Duct - passes through the prostate to merge with the urethra
• Ductus Deferens - to propel live sperm from their storage sites

• Prostatic Urethra - part of the urethra that is surrounded by the prostate gland
