    • Hitler weakened other political parties by passing the Enabling Act 1933 which allowed him to control commands
    • Arrests and Imprisonment - Members of Social Democratic Party and the Communist Party were arrested and often sent to concentration camps
    • Nazis also banned KPD and SPD making them illegal organisations
    • Intimidation and Violence - The SS used intimidation and violence to suppress any remaining opposition, this created fear making it dangerous to associate or support opposition groups
