  as the blood passes through capillaries in the cortex of the kidneys, substances are filtered OUT of the blood & into long tubules surrounding the kidneya
• Describe selective reabsorption ?


  AFTER ULTRAFILTRATION,

  Useful substances (eg glucose, the right amount of water) are then reabsorbed back into the blood
• After selective reabsorption, what do the remaining unwanted substances do?


  Pass along to the bladder , excreted as urine
