    • Involves both physical & mental relaxation

    • Don’t mean half asleep, drowsy etc 
    • Help be in control of arousal level 
    • CONTROL 
    • to help stay calm, to not push me into overarousal & anxiety 
    • To be effective practice these methods so if do need them can use them (prepared)

    • Trying to accomplish 
    • Calm the body & the mind
    • Slow heart, get rid of muscle tension
    • Stay focused on task at hand
