  Sudanese government signed a peace agreement with a range of rebel groups and they together formed the Liberation and Justice movement (LJM)

  • LJM was given an important role in government of Darfur including carrying out peace agreement.

  Other rebel groups refused to accept and so periods of violence continued.

  UNAMID remained in Sudan + refugee camps became permanent
