Marriage

• Because of his traits, he was recommended to Khadija binte Khuwaylid for trading.
• Khadija Binte Khuwaylid sent her slave Maysarah with the prophet on trade, and when the prophet came back, he had brought back more profit than she had ever made and Maysarah also spoke very highly of him.
• Hazrat Khadija proposed to the prophet, who then consulted his uncles and asked Khuwaylid for Khadijas hand in marriage.
• The prophet got married to Hazrat Khadija at the age of 25 and Khadija was 40 years old.
• Khadija was the first person to accept Islam.
• She supported the Prophet (PBUH) financially during the early days of revelation.
• The prophet had 4 daughters with Khadija: Ruqayyah, Zainab, Umm Kulsoom and Fatimah
• The prophet also had 2 sons with Khadija, but they both died during infancy.
