  • After the second pledge of Al Aqabah, the prophet asked his followers to migrate to Yathrib in batches. Concerned with this development, the Quraysh decided to make a plan to assassinate the prophet. They thought that the plan should have all the tribes participate in the murder so that Banu Hashim would not be able to avenge it.
  • When the prophet got the revelation, he left for Madinah that night with Abu Bakr. Before leaving, The prophet asked Ali to sleep in his bed and stay in Makkah till he had returned the things that people had entrusted to him.
  • After leaving Makkah, the prophet and Abu Bakr stayed in mount Thaur for 3 days while the Quraysh searched for them.
  • After leaving the cave of Thuar, the Prophet and Abu Bakr went to Quba with Abdullah bin Uraiqat, a non Muslim who knew the routes very well.
  • In Quba, the prophet built a mosque and Ali also joined him there.
  • The prophet left Quba for Madinah and it was Friday the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, so he delivered the first friday sermon and offered Friday congregational prayers in Banu Salem with 100 of his followers. This is also the start of the Hijrah year.
  • When the prophet arrived in Madinah, people rushed to welcome him and ansars wanted to recieve him in their house, but he ended up staying at the house of Abu Ayyub Ansari for his initial days in Madinah.
