      1. Sterlise the inculating loop used to transfer microoganisms from the agar plate to the petri dish by heating it
    • The purpose of sterilising the incubator is to kill any bacteria that may be present on its surface, preventing contamination of your samples.
    • Use separate pipettes for different solutions/samples to avoid mixing them up.
    • 2.Dip the sterlised loop in suspension of the bacteria you want to grow and use it to make a zigzag streak acroos the surface of the agar. REplace the lid quickly as possible to avoid contamination
    • fix the lid of the petri dish with tape to avoid micoorganisms coming in-or microbes escapig. DONOT seal all the way around the edge as oxygen needs to enter to prevent harmfulk bacteria growing
    • 4. Pteri dish shoul be lablled and place upside down
