  • skin- your skin acts as a barrier. It prevent the pathogen enterng the tissue beneath. However if there is a cute present there is a chance you could get infected . IT's as an extra barrier
  • stomach acid - stomach acid kills most microorganisms that may have entered through food or drink
  • nose hair -it produces mucus which trap particles in the air that may irritate the lungs.
  • trachea and bronchi- secretes mucus that traps pathogens from the air . The lining of the tubes called cilia(like tiny hairs) sweep the mucus up and out of the lungs
  • white blood cell (WBC)- WBC are part of the immune system. They destroy invading organism by engulfing them with phagocytosis
  • immune system :antitoxis
    they counteract toxins producing by the invading bacteria
  • immune system -antibodies :
    when a foreighn antigen comes the white blood cells will produce an antibody to lock into invading cells so that they can be found and destroyed by other whiter cells.If the person is infected with the same pathogen again the white blood cells will rapidly produce the antibodies to kill it
