abiotic and biotic factors

Cards (4)

  • examples of abiotic factors are
moisture level, light intensity, temperature, carbon dioxide level, wind intensity and direction, oxygen level and soil pH , mineral content
  • a change in environment can increase or decrease in an abiotic factor. these changes can affect the size of populations in a community. this will affect population sizes of other organisms that depend on them
  • examples of biotic factors are
new predators arriving, competition, new pathagons and availability of food
  • a change in environment could introduce a new biotic factor , affecting the size of populations in a community which can have a knock on effect because of interdependence
