  • Spinous process of C7 - first big bump at bottom of your neck, C6 should disappear when you extend neck
  • Spinous process of T1 - 1 below C7
  • Spinous process of T12 - flatter than the other thoracic vertebrae

• on 4th rib, outline of left lung is 3 cm laterally on the left side due to presence of the cardiac notch
