Esker

• An esker is a meandering ridge along a valley.
• They are made of meltwater sands and gravels.
• It is sorted.
• They are formed by water flowing under a the glacier
• The flowing water makes the rocks rounded, smoothening them.
• When the river loses energy it begins to deposit the rocks.
• When the glacier melts, tunnels are left behind with the deposited rocks inside.
