  • hypothesis - testable prediction as to the expected outcome of an experiment, must include the IV and the DV
  • accuracy - how close the experimental result is to the known value, calculate as a percentage of accuracy
  • precision - how close/similar the values are to each other
  • when is data said to be reliable?
    when the results are precise and the experiment is reproducible
  • trustworthy
    - reliable source, research done by qualified individuals, question whether it's reliable at all
  • prejudice - someone has decided what they want to believe before they have conducted the experiment and has manipulated the data to represent their belief
