• Prophase I: synapsis and crossing over/ recombination occurs
• Metaphase I: alignment of tetrads along the metaphase plate.
• Anaphase I: dyad is moved to the opposite poles
• Telophase I: nuclear envelope reforms
• Prophase II: dyads remain attached at centromeres
• Metaphase II: dyads align along the metaphase plate and shugoshin is degraded
• Anaphase II: dyad sister chromatid pulled to opposite poles
• Telophase II: nuclear envelope reforms, cleavage of parent cell and separation of chromosomes
• SPERMATOGENESIS: Sperm production(haploid)
• OOGENESIS: egg cell production. Has a higher cytoplasmic concentration.
