All living things are made up of cells and these can be subdivided into three; BACTERIA, ARCHAE AND EUKARYOTES
Eukaryotes are cells with a nucleus while prokaryotes(bacteria and archae) don’t have a nucleus
DNA can also be subdivided into smaller units called nucleotides. The acronyms are A for adenine, T for thymine, C for cytosine, and G for guanine. During RNA which is the transcribed version of DNA, the thymine is replaced with uracil.
DNA: Carrier of genetic information(genes)
There is a process where DNA gets replicated and this is also known as a CELL CYCLE.
There are two phases: GAP PHASE(G1 & G2) and SYNTHETIC PHASE also know as S phase and an extra phase aka INTERPHASE.
