Levels of organisation

• A cell is a basic unit of a living organism (= smallest thing that can be alive)
• Tissue = Group of the SAME type of cells working towards the same function
• Organ = A GROUP of tissues, working together towards the same function
• Organ system = A group of organs working together towards the same function (survival)
• An organism is a living thing
• cells to tissues to organs to an organ system to a living organism
